I was a thirteeen-year-old boy when I joined a band called “Le Meteore”: it was a very successful group which soon became very famous in Faenza and its surroundings. After a few years the band helped me writing "Mayerling", a rock opera which gave us great satisfaction and gained several prizes: the most important one arrived from the "Festival della Musica d'Avanguardia e Nuove Tendenze", on June 22nd, 1974. In January 1978, after having brilliantly passed a hard selection, I went on an Ivan Graziani tour; he was at the top of his carreer and I played with him for the following two years, taking part both in the recording of “Agnese dolce Agnese” and in the performance of the well-known “Q Concert” with Ron and Goran Kuzminac. At the end of 1980, I started working with Gianni Togni (I have played with him for two years), and with Miguel Bosè, too; in that period I composed and arranged for a very successful Mexican band, “Timbiriche”. I went on working in Mexico and Spain with Loris Ceroni as a producer. In 1984 I toured with Marcella Bella; in 1985 and 1987 I played with Eduardo De Crescenzo. In 1986 at the end of a tour, Gianni Togni wanted me as a piano player and as an arranger: in 1988 we published “Bersaglio mobile”; Gianni and I carried several projects out, producing records such as “Singoli” (1993), “Cari amori miei” (1996), “Ho bisogno di parlare” (1997), “Colpi di gonna” by Elga Paoli (1993) and “Canzoni in corso” by Massimo Ranieri (1997): I also conducted Sanremo Festival orchestra for Massimo's performance in the same year. Massimo Ranieri has been the main actor in “Hollywood, ritratto di un divo”, a successful musical by Giuseppe Patroni Griffi whose arrangements I cared for: the play was born in Faenza, in the tiny Fab Home Studio (my studio "downstairs") and has been great success through 1997, 1998 and 1999 theatrical seasons. In 1994 I stopped all of my contributions to tour with my dear friend Ivan Graziani and to carry on his record (his last one, I'm afraid!) "Fragili fiori… LIVAN". I worked as a producer (for BMG) in 1996: the band "AnnA", winner of Recanati festival, published a 5-song CD...a rarity! I went on producing and arranging Manrico Mologni and Gérard Depardieu (at his first come out) in "Rosa" (1997): a great success, sold in France only! Back from a tour in Australia (1998) and ever since, I have joined "Stadio" live line-up but I still go on working in studio: on February 8th, 2002, at Stockholm "Stadsteatem", the musical GG was first performed with my arrangements; I am proud I could play the piano for Vasco Rossi “Ogni volta” (in “Tracks”, 2002); I wrote and arranged the first successful song by the well-known Mexican band OV7 (2003); in 2006 I started working again with Gianni Togni (“La vita nuova”); you can also find my contributions in the dvd “W IVAN", a portrait of Ivan Graziani, through images, interviews and videos...you can find more about me in the NEWS: what would the news worth for, if I wrote everything here?!?...bye for now...
